North Platte, Nebraska, October 10, 2026

It had been many years since we had visited North Platte and we were excited to visit again. The first night we did the river walk of Centenniel Park and then went to Pal’s Brewery and had Jalopino pizza. The next day we did a walking tour downtown including the Canteen District. Then we went to the Golden Spike Tower which is both a museum and an observation of the huge Union Pacific Baily Yard which is the largest railroad classification yard in the world. Then we went to Cody Park to see the Challenger, a huge steam engine as well as others./susan
