Susan's Story, Summer in Europe, 2018

In the White Sea just below the Arctic Circle lie the archipelago of six main islands known in Russia as the location of one of the most severe gulags of the Soviet Union. On Bolshoy Solovetsky Island, the largest of the islands, is the famous Russian Orthodox Solovetsky Monastery complex, a world heritage site. This monastery was founded in the 15th century and contains two cathedrals. /susan
